BALTIMORE — Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday evening in the city’s Southern District, police said. Officers responded to a report of gunfire at around 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 16 in the 2700 block of Spelman Road. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive male with multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds in the rear of the block. Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
