Shiloh Jolie looks fresh-faced in rare appearance after requesting to drop Pitt from name

Shiloh Jolie has made a rare public appearance after requesting to drop her dad Brad Pitt’s last name from her own.

The 18-year-old is moving forward with legally dropping Pitt from her name. Almost two months after the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt filed legal papers on her 18th birthday, May 27, to drop her father’s surname, she has completed the next phase of the process; publishing an announcement in a newspaper.

And now Shiloh has stepped out for a solo outing while dressed casually in a black hoodie, black jeans, and some yellow trainers. She wore her short hair up and off of her face and in what appeared to be tiny French braids on the top of her head. Shiloh also appeared to go makeup-free for the outing, with her natural beauty shining through.

Shiloh’s rare public appearance comes after her attorney confirmed that the court hearing had been postponed due to a clerical error. The hearing was initially scheduled for this week but has now been rescheduled for August 19. The 18-year-old is keen to change her name to “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie” instead of “Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt”. A notice recently appeared in the Los Angeles Times newspaper, announcing the news.

Peter Levine, Shiloh’s legal representative, explained the situation this week, stating: “Unfortunately, the court was unable to complete the background check ahead of today’s hearing, so the hearing was rescheduled for August 19.”

Back in May, fans noticed that 15-year-old Vivienne dropped the “Pitt” from her name on the theatre program for The Outsiders, a Broadway production she worked on with her mother. The bill only listed the budding star as “Vivienne Jolie.” It was unknown at the time if this name was purely cosmetic or if she made the legal change, too.

The Jolie-Pitt children appear to be feuding with their dad. Vivienne isn’t the first to distance herself from the Pitt family name. Daughter Zahara previously identified herself as Zahara Marley Jolie only.
