Woodbridge native Shaboozey is no stranger to a hit song.

The artist hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart and No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart with his hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” and went on to score two features on Beyoncé’s album, “Cowboy Carter.”

According to Billboard, Shaboozey, 29, is the first Black man to top both charts, Beyoncé being the only other Black artist to do so.

Born Collins Chibeuze, Shaboozey’s music style blends country and rap to create a unique sound that reflects his Virginia upbringing.

Now, the chart-topper is teaming up with the ACC Network to bring a fresh new sound to this football season.

His recently released track “Last of My Kind” from his album “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going” will be the new anthem for the ACC Network.

“As a former high school football player, I grew up watching college football on ESPN. It’s a dream come true to have my song be the anthem to the 2024 ACC season and I’ll be watching every chance I get while on tour,” Shaboozey said.

The track was chosen because it underscores the unique spirit of ACC football, highlighting the traditions, rivalries, and community that define game day experiences, according to ESPN.

“We find ourselves lucky that Shaboozey is as much of an ACC fan as we are at ESPN,” said Curtis Friends, ESPN vice president of sports marketing. “His Virginia roots which are right in the heart of the ACC come through in the tonality of his music and distinctively in ‘Last of My Kind.’ This song was the perfect choice to serve as the anthem for the 2024 ACC football season and we’re confident fans will find themselves singing along all season.”
