STORM ALERT Humid Monday with temps in the 90s, heavy afternoon rain chances

 Alert Weather Team is on a Storm Alert Monday as we kick off the last week of August with heat, humidity, and storm chances.

High temperatures on Monday will be on either side of 90 degrees with moderate humidity. It will be dry for kids at the bus stop this morning with warm and muggy conditions by recess time. There is a chance for a few showers and storms to develop this afternoon and early this afternoon with the heating of the day. One or two storms could contain damaging winds with heavy rain. Isolated shower and storm chances continue early this evening with rain chances ending by midnight.

Plan for a mild and muggy night with areas of patchy fog possible.

This heat is on Tuesday with afternoon highs in the 90s. Feels-like temperatures will be in the mid-90s under a mix of sun and clouds.

The heat should peak on Wednesday with high temperatures close to 100 degrees and the heat index as high as 105 degrees.

Then on Thursday, it will be another hot and humid day with a chance for isolated afternoon showers and storms.
